Amiga Plus

I just received my Amigo Plus bag from Rather Green. It is exactly what I hoped it would be and so much more. The quality of material is superb. The colours (poppy and brown) are beautiful and the additions (outside pockets, inside pockets, snaps, inside handle and shoulder loops) make this bag my definite favourite. I am now trying to see what colours and options I want for the petite and tote.

I had serious second thoughts about spending this much on essentially a “mom canvas bag” but it’s honestly amazing. I even doubted whether I got too many internal pockets and whether I really even needed a crossbody strap and the internal handles - but yes yes yes I needed all the extras! I asked for flat external back pockets and a center flat pocket so I only had two water bottle pockets for my two kids. If I choose to bring a bottle for myself, one can easily fit in one of the 6 pockets inside. All 6 pockets inside are in use and keep my bag organized. I’m only 5’1 and love that the bag isn’t overwhelming on me but still holds sooooooo much, especially great for when I want to bring “just in case” stuff for my kiddos. The shoulder strap and crossbody length was also adjusted for my height which makes a big difference. Overall my husband even says my bag doesn’t look “cheap” which I was worried about with it being only canvas but I’ve gotten compliments and although not “high end leather” it’s truly a fantastic functional bag that I used everyday that keeps everything organized and easily reachable. One thing to note is that I didn’t get a center snap closure, but I suspect it might be because I have short handles added? But I would have liked that extra center snap added because it does gap open there. I got the navy bottom so I wouldn’t fret about stains wherever I set it down and don’t regret it.

I love my Amiga Plus. The size is perfect for a day at the office; it holds my laptop, wallet, cell phone and charger, cosmetic pouch, and 32 ounce water bottle. The pockets keep everything organized so I don't have to dig around my bag to look for things!

The bag arrived exactly as I ordered. It is the perfect size for our upcoming beach trips. The heavyweight cotton looks to be quite durable. The snaps, short handles, and flat pockets were good choices for me.

Let me start by saying the customer service was excellent, and the bag turned out exactly the way I envisioned. Great colors and craftsmanship. The drop from the top of the handle to the bottom of the bag is absolutely perfect whether it’s on my shoulder or carried by hand. Highly recommend!!

I ordered an Amiga Plus with customized short straps and loops. I didn't want any colours and I love the neutrality of the canvas. Short straps allow me to sling it on my forearm. The loops, typically for long straps, I use to pull towards me when I store the bag under my desk at work. The 3 inside pockets are perfect. I have 2 reusable water bottles (32oz) in 2 and the centre for my phone. The middle outside pocket is perfect for my A5: planner (absolutely a bonus), one outside pocket is for my protein bar/quick grab snack, keys/access cards go in the other pocket. A place for everything at close reach.
Love that it's a Canadian product.

I am so pleased with my Amiga Plus tote. I researched several tote options and kept coming back to Rather Green. After some hesitation, I clearly chose correctly. I'm very happy it's a Canadian made product that is sturdy, attractive and practical. I chose extra luggage strap, snaps and coloured bottom. It's by my side always. Thank you.

I was torn between the Lands End boat tote and Rather Green, and so glad I decided on RG!

Truly a beautiful bag! Customization and storage capacity were a huge selling point for me.
I wanted a fun color combo, and the Avocado and Lavender are both gorgeous colors separately, as well as together. I had the most difficult time finding a color/color combo that I liked most, and after seeing these colors in person, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I got the Amiga plus, changed the bottom color, as well as made my middle pocket flat. I had a slight second-guess after already ordering that I should have added more internal and/or external pockets. However, I'm so happy with my decision to keep the standard 6 pockets. There's plenty of storage! The Amiga Plus holds my 5 books/journals/planners, all my markers and washi, my everyday water bottle (Simple Human 32oz), and 3 skeins of yarn with my current crochet project, WITH room to spare! I can easily add in my 14" laptop and charger when needed, or a couple of my sons' homeschool or library books for school on-the-go. I can totally grow into this bag.
Yet, it's still nice to carry, with thick straps that do not dig into my shoulder, even while loaded up!
It has great structure and will stand on its own even when empty, which makes rummaging through an absolute breeze - No collapsing sides while grabbing what I need!

It took exactly one month from order date to delivery, and once I opened the box, every moment of waiting was worth it! I follow Rather Green on Instagram, and loved watching the behind the scenes of their shop, and it is true craftsmanship. I appreciated that I could see exactly where it was made/coming from - No sweat shops, quality materials, and thoughtful design.

My ONLY complaint: I wish it had a zippered closure option! I take this with me almost everywhere, almost every day. I do have to be conscious of it tipping out all my stuff in the car, and security out in public is definitely on my mind. Bending over to pick something up off the ground is a bit of a contortionist act.

Overall, extremely pleased. I definitely see myself purchasing another one and recommending it to all of my friends.

I'm using the Amigas as a knitting bag. I added some snaps for closure. I absolutely love it. The pocket configuration is perfect for my needs. I'll buy from you again for sure!

Seriously. The craftsmanship and clear communications with the team makes Rather Green now my go to tote recommendation. I love that I was able to customize my bag and create my poppy/rose dream bag. This is exactly what I was looking for to carry my needlepointing projects. Now I’m going to get one for my pottery tools. Highly recommend. Love.

I live in Maine, where everyone has a Maine L.L. Bean boat and tote. So when I saw this bag online, I was skeptical, but then I saw how you could customize it with all the pockets and the color, different strap lengths , car key ring holder, snaps the cross body strap! My only complaint is that it’s a little easy to overload making it a little heavy, which makes me worried about the cross body strap hooks breaking. But overall, this bag is very well loved and I’ve only had it a month.

I purchased the Amiga Plus to hold our daily homeschooling books and gear. With 6 interior pockets and 6 exterior pockets, it holds our writing roll, a range of math manipulatives and two small sketchbooks; our daily assignments and textbooks; my water bottle, laptop, mouse and phone; and anything else we might need on a given day.

I carry my Amiga Plus up and downstairs once a day, and keep it right next to me throughout our homeschooling hours. Everything I need is visible and right on hand.

I added a 5mm thick felt slab to the bottom of my bag (purchased on Etsy) to protect the interior floor and to add structure under all the books I carry.

The bag is freestanding on its own, and also quite stable with contents when care is taken to balance it, which is easy to do with all the pockets!

I added the interior handles so I can carry the bag two different ways. I find the standard handles are 1” - 2” shorter than I need them when I place clipboards vertically in the bag. I have to finagle a little to get the straps up on my shoulder. When I lay them sideways, the handles are perfect. If I were to order again, I would consider the longer, single shoulder strap.

I ordered the top snaps as well, mostly for looks, but also for when we occasionally homeschool out of the house. Will prevent my bag from tipping/dumping out in the car.

The quality is GREAT! This bag will last many years of everyday use. Love the colors. I highly recommend this bag. Definitely worth the wait!

This bag is incredibly well made. I love that I can customize it to my needs. I use it to store my travel watercolor supplies. I added extra pockets, so that everything has a place and is easy to find.

I ordered the Amiga plus with added shoulder strap, key ring and clasps. I love it. Right now, it's serving as my preferred knitting project bag, but I know I will make great use of it for travel, camping and hanging out at the beach. My only regret is not getting extra outside pockets. Maybe next time.

My second purchase and I imagine my last shopping bag i will ever need to purchase. But wait!! It's not just used for shopping, we have gone to the beach, overnight visits and carrying props to work. I decided on flat middle pockets so I can add patches or some iron on designs...want to indigenous it.

How handy is that? Wallet and lip balm in an inside pocket, keys snapped inside the bag as well so no more need for a crossover or purse. Who thought of this?

Ordered the amiga plus with extra exterior pockets, snaps and added shoulder strap. It’s amazing quality and a chic carry all for my kids stuff. And love the compartments to keep my things, and like sanitizer close at hand. Love it, will def be ordering more!

This was my first amiga bag and it exceeded my expectations. Fabric is durable and construction excellent. I loved being able to customize. I planned to use this to transport art supplies to class but find myself using it for everything. Work, outings- it holds so much! Great job “Rather Green”.

I absolutely LOVE my new bag. It is so well made, the colors are amazing (deep blue) and the size is perfect for a busy teacher like me. I’ve never been more happy about a purchase!!!!!

This Bag is going to be with me for ever. It will go to the grocery store, the mall, the beach and family gatherings.
