Caring for your bag
This bag is made to withstand machine washing. However, we recommend to wash it by hand in order to avoid unnecessary abrasion of the fabric fibres and reach a more delicate result. We recommend spot cleaning the bag for as long as you can before completely washing it, in order to maintain its sturdiness.
Spot cleaning instructions:
- Marks:
- Depending on the type of mark, you may be able to get rid of it by rubbing a white eraser.
- For tougher marks, damp a cloth with a solution of water and mild detergent and rub area in circular motion.
- Oily stains: Apply 3% hydrogen peroxide (commonly found in pharmacies). Rub stained area in circular motion using dry cloth. Start with a small amount and increase as needed until desired result is achieved.
Hand washing instructions:
- Fill up a sink or basin with a solution of water and mild detergent.
- Push bag into the solution gently using your two hands, making sure water reaches all surfaces of the bag.
- Brush areas with accentuated dirt or marks.
- Do not bleach.
- Drying:
- Use a towel to pat dry the bag. Remove any spots of water accumulation and flatten wrinkled spots.
- Hang the bag by its handles in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry completely.
Machine washing instructions:
- Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. You may need to run the bag through two or even three cycles in the first time you wash the bag, as canvas is water repellent when new.
- Do not bleach.
- Drying: Hang the bag by its handles in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry completely.
- If needed, iron on medium heat setting.
- As this bag is mainly made of unprocessed 100% cotton canvas, expect 10% to 15% shrinkage of the undyed parts.

I ordered this bag for a trip on a Thursday, so when the confirmation email asked to let them know if I needed it for a certain date, I replied and told them about my plans about 3 weeks in the future. They responded immediately, had my bag sewn Friday and shipped out on Monday. It got here with plenty of time - they went over and above expectations.
AND the bag is fantastic! Great capacity, perfect pockets (standard number, I didn't add any), the canvas is sturdy, the bag is well made and the yellow color is great. I took it to a conference and it fit all my stuff functionally. Really couldn't have asked for it to be better.

I am someone who wanted to buy a bag and ended up purchasing it after searching for it. I live in South Korea. I wanted to buy it because the coloring was so beautiful while browsing Instagram. I usually throw my bags around carelessly, so I was hoping for a durable, heavy cotton material, and it fits well.
I really like that I can customize the coloring myself. The only downside is that I think it would have been much more comfortable if the strap was about 10-15 cm shorter, as it would have fit snugly against my side, but I am satisfied.
There are also many pockets, so I can comfortably fit lots of items. I really like it. I will definitely promote it to my friends in South Korea.
I got the Amiga tote with the following modifcations: double external pockets, snaps, loops only, and the mix and match colorway in Sunflower and Ocean. The Amiga is HUGE! I think it is the perfect size for a beach bag or as a hauler for other day trips. I do not know if I will ever use the loops with a crossbody strap but it is a great feature to have. The construction is very sturdy all-around. This is a quality bag! I also really appreciate that they shipped it out plastic-free and in a cardboard box.
I recently purchased my first Rather Green bag. I bought the medium sized bag. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality of the bag. I decided to purchase some of the add-ons including making it a multi-coloured bag and adding snaps, double external pockets and a shoulder strap. They were worth the extra charge. I love it for shopping and I think it will be perfect for the beach and camping.
This is the best all tote that I own. Sturdy and fantastic to look at. I added the larger strap as I use it for groceries and books and need it for back support when I lug stuff. Highly recommend a pop of colour at the bottom. My other bags are jealous.

I received my tote with the shoulder strap last week and I’m so very happy with it! I use it to carry my art supplies to classes. It’s sturdy and durable. Love the fact that we can use 2 colours in the design! Maroon and red look amazing together. Highly recommend!
