Product Care - Hands-on Apron
This apron is made to get dirty. You will eventually get dirt, grease or tomato sauce on it, so machine washing it will make sure it’s ready to go again.
Both canvases it’s made of are pre-shrunk, so any shrinkage you may experience will be minimal. You may experience slight discoloration after the first wash, which is expected.
Please wash it following the steps below:
-
Empty all pockets. Make sure you spread the pockets open upside down to get all bits of dirt out.
-
Tie a knot or two with both long straps.
-
Machine wash following the settings and instructions below:
-
Cold water: helps to reduce shrinkage and is more gentle on the environment.
-
Delicate cycle.
-
Conventional laundry detergent can be used, but a neutral and natural laundry detergent will be more gentle on the textile fibers.
-
Do not add:
-
Bleach;
-
Fabric softener;
-
Stain removers.
-
-
-
Hang to dry: Allow the apron to dry in a well-ventilated area free from direct sunlight.
-
Untie the knots on the straps.
-
Gently spread pockets open the two larger pockets in order to allow for air to flow in.
-
Allow it to dry thoroughly, as semi-dry conditions may cause mold.
-
-
Optional: iron to reduce wrinkles.
-
Set your iron on medium heat. Ironing on high heat may cause canvas surface to slightly burn and darken.
-
Use steaming function, if available.
