Product Care - Hands-on Apron

Apron for gardening, cooking and working around the house.

This apron is made to get dirty. You will eventually get dirt, grease or tomato sauce on it, so machine washing it will make sure it’s ready to go again.

Both canvases it’s made of are pre-shrunk, so any shrinkage you may experience will be minimal. You may experience a slight discoloration, but nothing to concern about.

Please wash it following the steps below:

  1. Empty all pockets.

    • Make sure you spread the pockets open upside down to get all bits of dirt out.

  2. Tie a knot or two with both long straps.

  3. Machine wash:

    • Cold water: helps to reduce shrinkage and is better for the environment.

    • Delicate cycle.

    • Conventional laundry detergent is OK to use, but a neutral and natural laundry detergent will be gentler to the textile fibers.

    • Do not add:

      • Bleach

      • Fabric softener

      • Stain removers

  1. Hang to dry: Allow the apron to dry in a well-ventilated area free from direct sunlight.

    • Untie the knots on the straps.

    • Gently spread pockets open the two larger pockets in order to allow air to enter.

    • Allow it to dry thoroughly, as semi-dry conditions may cause mold.

  2. Iron to reduce wrinkles:

    • Set your iron on medium heat. Ironing on high heat may cause canvas surface to slightly burn.

    • Use steaming function, if available.

    • If not available, spray a small amount of water in the areas about to be ironed.
