Caring for your bag
This bag is made to withstand machine washing. However, we recommend to wash it by hand in order to avoid unnecessary abrasion of the fabric fibres and reach a more delicate result. We recommend spot cleaning the bag for as long as you can before completely washing it, in order to maintain its sturdiness.
Spot cleaning instructions:
- Marks:
- Depending on the type of mark, you may be able to get rid of it by rubbing a white eraser.
- For tougher marks, damp a cloth with a solution of water and mild detergent and rub area in circular motion.
- Oily stains: Apply 3% hydrogen peroxide (commonly found in pharmacies). Rub stained area in circular motion using dry cloth. Start with a small amount and increase as needed until desired result is achieved.
Hand washing instructions:
- Fill up a sink or basin with a solution of water and mild detergent.
- Push bag into the solution gently using your two hands, making sure water reaches all surfaces of the bag.
- Brush areas with accentuated dirt or marks.
- Do not bleach.
- Drying:
- Use a towel to pat dry the bag. Remove any spots of water accumulation and flatten wrinkled spots.
- Hang the bag by its handles in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry completely.
Machine washing instructions:
- Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. You may need to run the bag through two or even three cycles in the first time you wash the bag, as canvas is water repellent when new.
- Do not bleach.
- Drying: Hang the bag by its handles in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry completely.
- If needed, iron on medium heat setting.
- As this bag is mainly made of unprocessed 100% cotton canvas, expect 10% to 15% shrinkage of the undyed parts.

I received my Amiga Petite Tote today in the Carbon color and it was even nicer than expected. The quality and workmanship is unsurpassed. For reference, I am petite being only 5 feet 2 inches. I love everything about this tote. With my bag, I did not get additional pockets. There are 3 slip pockets on the outside and 3 slip pockets on the inside. On the exterior, I chose the middle pocket to be flat and the other 2 to be gusseted to fit more things. The 3 pockets on the inside are deep and the middle one is wider than the other 2. Great everyday bag for summer. We'll made and rhe canvas is a nice sturdy weight. I kept the original straps. They are long enough for over the should but I can also carry it in hand. It holds so much and the outer pockets really come om handy. The Inner pockets are a good size as well.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said from other reviews? The bag is phenomenal. I’m amazed that even after putting my 15” laptop, I was still able to use all the pockets (water bottle, umbrella, 2 phone, keys and daily essentials) with some room to spare in the main compartment. Well made and quality construction/materials. Dante was ever so accommodating with my requests. Thank you!!
I was going camping in a few days so I called to ask about turn around time. I placed a custom order and within 2 HOURS I got a message that the product had been shipped. I received it the next morning and it’s great! The canvas is sturdy and stands up nicely instead of flopping over. I added snaps, additional pockets, and the smaller handles. All these features were worth it. The only suggestion I’d have is to put that third snap ON the small handles.
Highly recommend this bag. First, you can customize. This is the perfect size for my knitting/crochet projects. I LOVE that it stands up on its own, has lots of pockets, not too deep, I can wear it over my shoulder and I could choose my own color and pockets. Finally found the unicorn bag. Might even order another one! Highly recommend!

Love my Amiga Petite in Ocean and Carbon with shorts straps, snaps and a crossbody strap ! It is so sturdy and well made, very impressed with the craftmanship. I bought this bag as a work bag. It is amazing. It is not too big, but also spacious and can hold more than you think. The straps are just right making the bag fit perfectly under the arm. I love my new Amiga Petite because of the long handles and roomy interior. I selected the olive green/khaki exterior pockets and the burnt orange bottom. I took it to the next level by ironing on a monarch butterfly patch (purchased on Etsy) on the other side of the bag (side with no pockets) to complete the look. Very satisfied!

I just received my new Amiga Petite, it looks so great I can't wait to try it! I chose red on the bottom and blue on the sides and it looks very attractive. I appreciate how the handles are long enough to put on my shoulder but short enough that the bag doesn't brush the ground when I walk as I am not very tall. Side pockets on the inside are convenient for finding things, and also on the outside. I also appreciate how it stands on its own on the ground, making it easy to reach into from my chair. Great job! I am looking at getting some custom made for Christmas gifts.
